Engineered hickory flooring is a wonderful choice for any style of home. Hickory wood is a close relative to maple, but it is a harder wood and looks more rustic. The beautiful color variations in hickory flooring is what draws many people to this particular species of wood. It is a tan or reddish color with a white/creamy sapwood that is only enhanced by the fine brown lines that helps to give this flooring character and visual interest. Engineered hickory flooring choices offer a wide variety of stains, which only helps to enhance the beauty of the natural hickory wood. This flooring choice is an excellent way to update a boring, drab floor.
Engineered hickory flooring can be installed in every room in your home-even moisture-prone rooms. This is a benefit over hardwood hickory flooring, because solid wood doesn't hold up as well to moisture as engineered wood. The engineered hickory flooring will be great in your basement or any other room in your home. It is easy to install yourself, due to the floating floor design, and it will be durable enough for many years of wear and tear by your family. Engineered hickory flooring is available in tongue and groove boards, which means that after you have laid down your moisture barrier, all you need to do is fit them together and make cuts where needed. You'll find this process is simple and easy to do with just a few tools.
Engineered hickory flooring is also easy to take care of. A simple dust mop can remove most of the dust and dirt for daily care and a damp mop will allow you to clean as needed. It is important with any kind of flooring, including engineered hickory flooring, to clean up spills as soon after they occur as possible. This will help you remove the stain as thoroughly as possible. Regular cleaning can keep your engineered hickory flooring looking beautiful for many years to come.
If you have been looking for a way to update your home and make it look more interesting, you'll want to consider installing engineered hickory flooring. It is sure to instantly warm up your home and will help the value of your home as well. Hickory is one of the most interesting woods I've seen. I love it for cabinets as well as for floors. An engineered hickory flooring will be a great solution for many homes and offices.
Comments
We are considering purchasing engineered Hickory flooring for our home. It will be installed in the bedrooms and study and den. I have heard some negative comments about this floor from some of my relatives. They know people who have had insect larvae come through the wood after having it in there homes for 6 months to up to 2 years after having it installed. Have you ever heard of this problem?
